Templates for Manuscript Preparation:
Authors are requested to use the following templates when preparing their submission:

  1. Main Manuscript File (without author names) – (Click here)
  2. Title Page – (Click here)

Required Information for the Title Page:
The following details must be presented on a separate document:

  • Title of the article (Capitalize the first letter of each major word)
  • Full names of all contributors (the corresponding author will be selected based on this list)
  • Email address of the corresponding author
  • Institutional affiliation of all authors in the format: Department, Faculty, University, City, Country
  • Abstract

Structure and Formatting of the Main Manuscript File:

  • Language: Manuscripts must be composed in clear and fluent English. Either British or American spelling may be used, but mixing both within the same document is not acceptable.
  • File Format: Only Microsoft Word files (.doc or .docx) are allowed for initial submission. PDF files will not be reviewed at this stage.
  • Mandatory Sections: Submissions must include the following sections: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions, and appropriately labeled Figures and Tables with captions.
  • Font Style and Size:
    • Main text: Times New Roman, 10-point
    • Figures and tables (including captions): Times New Roman, 9-point
  • Line Spacing: Single spacing throughout
  • Page Margins: Set to 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides

Abstract Guidelines:

  • Word limit: Up to 250 words (suggested minimum: 100 words)
  • Avoid using citations within the abstract

Keywords:

  • Provide between 4 to 6 keywords, separated by semicolons

Referencing Style:

  • Use APA (7th edition) formatting for all references
  • In-text citation styles: (Author, Year) or (Author et al., Year)
  • Employ reference management software like EndNote, Zotero, or Mendeley to ensure consistency

Figures and Tables:

  • Number all tables and figures sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1)
  • Titles for tables should appear above the table; captions for figures should be placed below the figure (both in 9-point font)
  • Use Times New Roman, 9-point for all content within tables and figures
  • Avoid using vertical lines in tables; use horizontal lines only to improve clarity
  • If figures or tables from previously published work are reused, proper permissions must be obtained and documented

Mathematical Content and Equations:

  • Clearly and consistently format all equations using a standard equation editor
  • Do not insert equations as images or screenshots
  • Equations should be numbered in order and aligned vertically
  • To maintain formatting clarity, authors may present each equation in a two-column, borderless table, with one column for the equation and the second for its corresponding number

Ethical Compliance:

  • Plagiarism: Every submission will be subjected to plagiarism screening tools. Manuscripts with substantial similarity will be rejected immediately.
  • Human and Animal Ethics: For studies involving human or animal subjects, authors must confirm compliance with ethical standards and provide an ethics approval code
  • Informed Consent: If human participants are involved, a statement confirming informed consent must be included

Article Processing Charges (APC):

JOSCM is free of any charge and does not impose any fees on authors for services such as submissions, review or publication.
